Disney's "The Little Mermaid" in Rochester Hills July 27-30

Rochester Hills - Rochester Community Schools’ Summer Music Theatre (SMT) proudly presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Based on Disney’s animated film and hit Broadway musical, The Little Mermaid features all the favorite songs including “Under The Sea” and “Part of Your World,” as well as new songs written by Oscar-winning Disney composer Alan Menken. Lyrics are by Howard Ashman and Glen Slater with a book by Doug Wright.

Ariel, the youngest mermaid daughter of King Triton, longs to live in the human world to pursue Prince Eric (​Kyle Mason ) and is willing to make a deal with Ursula the sea witch to make that happen. With Flounder and Sebastion’s help, Ariel embarks on an adventure to make her dream come true.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is Rochester Community Schools Summer Music Theatre’s 43rd annual production. Directed by JoAnna Pillsbury, vocal director Cat Menzies, pit director James Ferden, and choreographer Tyler Capa work with a cast of over 100 students from Rochester Community Schools and surrounding districts to bring this spectacular production life.
