Senior Appreciation Day at the Metroparks

All 13 Huron-Clinton Metroparks are celebrating "Senior Appreciation Day" today. Park entry is free and fun specials are in the works.

Hudson Mills Metropark near Dexter
Free disc golf for seniors
Two-for-one golf for seniors, greens fee only, cart not included. Not valid for leagues, outings, or any other special discount.
 
Huron Meadows Metropark in Brighton
Free small bucket of balls at the driving range for seniors
One hour of free rowboat or paddleboat rental on Maltby Lake for seniors

Indian Springs Metropark near White Lake/Clarkston

Free one-hour ride on the 37-passenger pontoon boat Island Queen II for seniors

Metro Beach Metropark
Free Par-3 golf for all park visitors
“Grandparents & Grandkids Go on a Bug Hunt!” at 1 pm, Nature Center. Ladybugs, dragonflies, butterflies and bumblebees are just a few of the many insects that grandparents and grandkids will catch, observe and learn about on this outdoor walk. Free program. Preregistration is required.
 
Stony Creek Metropark
One free hour of bicycle rental for seniors.

One free bucket of balls at the driving range for seniors
“In the Good Old Summertime,” from noon to 3 pm, Trolley Trails Parking Lot. Seniors will meet for a one-hour wagon ride which includes an ice cream snack. This program is free; please call to register because space is limited.
