The Shelby Township Music Society holds an open mic every month at the Shelby Community Center. If you play an instrument or enjoy listening to live music this is the place to be. The group meets the second Saturday of the month and encourages musicians — professional and amateur — to enjoy a good time with us.
There will be a wide variety of types of music played on many instruments, including guitar, piano, banjo, flute, accordion, violin, vocals, Native American flute and slide guitar. There is a lot of talent in the area and we enjoy giving you an opportunity to share it.
Each month a theme is selected to make each open mic session a new experience.
