Potters' Mill is offering wheel throwing classes beginning in January. Class sizes are small, so sign up fast. Friday morning sessions run Jan. 7-28. Cost is $85 plus $25 for 25 lbs of clay. You'll need an eight-piece pottery tool kit. Clay must be bought at Potters Mill, but tool kit can be bought anywhere.
The coursework includes:
- Four 90-minute lessons, inlcuding 10-15 minutes for cleanup.
- Four instructor-guided projects: One cup with handle, bowl or plate, vase, pot with lid. Original projects are welcome.
- Free firings and glazing for all four projects.
If Fridays don't work for you, Potters' Mill is also offering classes on Mondays (Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31) from 7-8:30 pm; and Wednesdayt (Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26) from 7-8:30 pm.
