Kids can get hooked on fishing at the 25th Annual Youth Fishing Derby, to be held June 11 at Heritage Garden Lake, located behind the Municipal Building at 52700 Van Dyke.
Event is free to Shelby Township and Utica children ages 15 and under. Highlights include:
- Prizes for the largest fish caught in each of the four age groups
- Casting contest, with prizes for two age groups
- Door prize drawing at 11 a.m. (You must be present to win.)
Everyone must bring their own equipment and bait, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
