Fireworks Festival is July 3 at Packard Proving Grounds
Historic location hosts family-friendly event starting at 5 pm
MI Green Team will host the PPG Fireworks Festival at the beautiful and historic Packard Proving Grounds on Tuesday, July 3, starting at 5 p.m., followed by the Shelby Township DDA Independence Day Fireworks at 10 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will offer live entertainment, kids’ activities, concessions, shopping, ceremony and more.
The main stage program will offer a full lineup of live entertainment featuring local-favorite musical acts and dance groups, and an Independence Day ceremony highlighted by the singing of the national anthem by mother-daughter duo Ella and Rebecca Siwicki, winners of the Shelby Star-Spangled Singer contest. The Kids Korner will offer an inflatable bouncer, maze and slide, a 25-foot tower climb, and plenty of “retro games” for kids of all ages. Local vendors will offer a variety of products and services for home, kids, pets, personal care, gifts and more. Delicious food, drink and snack concessions from some of the area’s leading restaurants and food trucks will be offered in the food court.
“We are very pleased to have MI Green Team organizing this year’s fireworks observance and are looking forward to an even bigger and better event,” stated Mary Anne Demo, Packard Proving Grounds Event Coordinator.
