Those were some of the tough issues tackled by Flickinger students as they sought the highest office in the school - student council president.
Flickinger 5th and 6th grade students are learning about the structure and process of the federal government. Students experience the process by developing a school student government.

As part of their studies, the top presidential candidates and those top candidates squared off in their first debate! Past presidents took time from their busy schedule to attend this event.

All of the 5th and 6th graders had an opportunity to vote at the polls and decide the 2017 President and Vice President of Flickinger Elementary.
Once a president and vice president is elected, students will begin the process of applying for Senate or House of Representatives.
