Free dental services offered May 21 by Baker College dental hygiene students

Appointments are required; call the Baker College of Auburn Hills Dental Clinic, 248.276.6664.

The Baker College of Auburn Hills Dental Clinic will hold a free dental day event, Saturday, May 21, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All patients will receive a free examination, cleaning and X-rays.

Patients are required to make an appointment by calling the Baker College of Auburn Hills Dental Clinic, 248.276.6664.

“This event is a win-win for the community and our students,” said Nicole Greco, Baker College of Auburn Hills dental hygiene program director. “It can help those who may not be able to easily afford dental care, and it provides an excellent opportunity for our dental hygiene students to gain hands-on experience, which is important in preparation for their careers.”

The students will be supervised by licensed professionals. Longer appointments are to be expected due to the educational nature of the clinic.

Graduates of Baker College’s associate degree program in dental hygiene take the national and regional board examinations to become licensed dental hygienists, earning the RDH designation. Upon successful completion of the exams, graduates are qualified for entry-level positions in a number of settings, including private dental offices, schools, public health clinics, hospitals, correctional institutions and nursing homes.
