Get in the game at the UCS academic blitz this evening
Event helps parents create a game plan for success in UCS secondary programs

Area families can create a successful game plan for their children’s educational future at the ninth annual Utica Community Schools Academic Blitz tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Henry Ford II High School, 11911 Clinton River Road in Sterling Heights.
While the Blitz is specifically targeted to students in grades 5 through 10, the event is open to all area families interested in specific options available in UCS and after graduation. The evening allows parents and students to develop a plan that takes advantage of the unique programs and services in the district.
Babysitting services are being provided at the event.
The evening will begin with guest speaker Hoor Bhanpuri, the K-12 Senior Director of the Midwest Regional Office of the College Board. The district will also be honoring Advanced Placement teachers from each UCS high school and specialty programs that represent ongoing efforts to increase participation and success in the college-level program.

Informational booths will also be available with representatives from a variety of secondary programs, post-secondary programs and agencies that support area educational opportunities. Booths will open at 6 p.m.
