Graebner Elementary is in the (Ronald McDonald) house!
Graebner volunteers prepared and served dinner to families of children being treated at Detroit area hospitals

Graebner Elementary School recently brought both warmth and a home-cooked meal to the Ronald McDonald House in Detroit.
Spearheaded by Karen Tragle and a team of Graebner staff members, the school group prepared and served dinner to families of children being treated at Detroit area hospitals.
“Team Graebner did an awesome job providing a great meal and warm spirits to families who are facing complicated medical needs,” said Graebner principal Dr. Gregory Church.
The group prepared a meal of turkey, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberries, meatballs, pasta, sweet rolls, spinach dip, Mexican dip, cheesecake, cookies and yummy bars during their mid-December visit.
The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to reduce the burden of childhood illness on families by providing a “home away from home” while their children are receiving medical care in Detroit metropolitan-area hospitals. On any given night, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Detroit serves 25 families.
