Hour of Code lasts a lifetime for UCS students

UCS elementary schools take part in national initiative

Elementary students spent an hour this week on learning a skill that may make a lifetime of difference.

Students across Utica Community Schools took part in the international Hour of Code program to promote computer science.

The goal is to create excitement for a career that is projected to have 1.4 million jobs available in 2020.

Media Specialists went to a summer workshop put on by code.org and then met in small groups to plan their activities for the national initiative.
