Informational meetings provide overview of UCS safety training
ALICE training informational meeting offered to parents

Utica Community Schools is hosting two ALICE presentations, in collaboration with the Sterling Heights and Shelby Township police departments, for all UCS staff and interested community residents, in coordination with school safety training and procedures.
The session will also provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
ALICE training is a research-based, proactive approach to responding to an active shooter situation. It has been adopted by businesses, schools, and organizations across the nation to prepare employees, staff, students, and personnel for how to respond to violent intruder situations.
ALICE is endorsed by law enforcement across the country and in line with recommendations from the: Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); and the US Department of Education.
To reach the entire UCS community, two events have been scheduled:
March 28, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Henry Ford High School – Gymnasium located at 11911 Clinton River Road, Sterling Heights
March 29, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Eisenhower High School – Performing Arts Center located at 6500 25 Mile Road, Shelby Township
