Little Library makes a big difference at UCS elementary school

Library encourages community to share their love of reading

A new addition has been added to Plumbrook's grounds this summer, a Little Free Library.

Mrs. Dawn Nacker, Title I Literacy Consultant at the school, decided to have her family take on this project.

Her husband, Gary Nacker, built the library while her daughters helped with the painting.

The concept of a Little Free Library is for the community to be able to take a book, share a book and/or leave a book.

The library has also been registered with the nonprofit organization which allows the it to be on a world map with other Little Free Libraries.

So, far the enthusiasm has been at a high with students and parents
taking and leaving books to read. Plumbrook hopes to continue to share
the love of reading by maintaining and continuing to promote the library
within the community and beyond.
