The Macomb-OU Incubator educates entrepreneurs on State of Michigan programs

The Macomb-OU Incubator (Mac-OU Inc) has recently relaunched their proprietary program “Starting Up: An Introduction to Michigan’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem,” to be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

This workshop explores Michigan’s “entrepreneurial ecosystem,” designed to help participants start and/or grow their tech-based businesses. It is targeted to high-tech, startup companies; early-stage, growth-based businesses; and those looking to bring their innovative idea to market.

John Eaton, Mac-OU Inc’s client strategist, will help attendees navigate the wide range of State of Michigan resources, including business incubators, SmartZones, various support services, university technology acceleration and commercialization, and funding programs.

“Over the last decade or so, Michigan has developed a comprehensive, committed and enthusiastic network of service providers focused on helping entrepreneurs and startup firms succeed. While this ‘ecosystem’ sets Michigan apart as a welcoming home for innovation and business, it’s often difficult for entrepreneurs and startup firms to engage the ecosystem properly and to know where to turn based on their unique business and customer development path,” said Eaton.

“Starting Up is designed to provide a simple and straightforward overview of the resources available to Michigan entrepreneurs and startup firms, covering the state, regional and local landscape of service providers, technology partners and funding opportunities that can be deployed to get their idea or business to the next level.”
