Police said the 48-year-old man was kayaking on the lake before he jumped into the water and went missing, according to reports.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A man drowned in Stony Creek Lake in Macomb County on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

Police said the 48-year-old man was kayaking on the lake before he jumped into the water and went missing, CBS Detroit reports.

Rescue crews found the man's body in the water shortly later. Officials believe the man drowned, but autopsy and toxicology were pending, according to the Detroit News.
