MMA Cage Fighting Fundraiser Was a 'Knockout'

The Shelby Lions Club hosted a smashing good time April 19 to raise money for blindness.

The Palazzo Grande turned into a Vegas-style battle royal last week for the Shelby Lions Club annual "Knock Out Blindness" fundraiser.

More than 800 guests crowded around a ring to watch champion cage fighters take swings at each other.

The charities that will benefit from the event include the Welcome Home for the Blind Adult Care Facility, Leader Dogs for the Blind, the Michigan Eye Bank and Transportation Center and more.
