Fifth graders at Monfort Elementary School finished off a recent science unit by phoning a friend for some professional insight.
Marybeth Knoth, a 2001 Utica Community Schools graduate, shared her experiences as a biomedical engineer in New York via video conference with the students.
Knoth, who attended Stevenson High School and the Utica Center Mathematics, Science and Technology, shared information on the circulatory system to close the unit of study.
