The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan ARC appoints donation specialist

Nonprofit appoints dedicated employee to pursue donations during holiday season, year-round

The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) recently appointed Mary Lou Lantz donation specialist of the nonprofit’s operations in metro Detroit. Lantz formerly served as the general manager of The Salvation Army’s Royal Oak Boutique, Sally’s on Fourth.

β€œCommunity and corporate donations are the heartbeat of our thrift store operations,” said Merle Miller, administrator of The Salvation Army ARC. β€œWe depend on the generosity of our partners to help us touch the lives of men and women in need, and the donation specialist helps us maintain a steady income of contributions.”

With 13 years of service to the ARC, Lantz has been dedicated to The Salvation Army’s mission and services for over a decade. In her new role, Lantz will be responsible for soliciting and coordinating corporate, small business and community donations to ensure shelves are stocked at the nonprofit’s 34 metro Detroit family thrift stores throughout the year and during the busy holiday season.
