Born in Albania, and educated in Italy, Katerina Bocci approaches her designs both with passion and technical expertise. Her hand-sewn craftsmanship, superb fit and innovative, avant-garde designs are luxurious and romantic, appealing to the most discerning brides-to-be.
Featuring opulent finishes, impeccable hand beading, Swarovski trim and stone, Bocci uses only the finest fabrics, including 100-percent silk shantung, silk organza, silk taffeta, Duchess silk and tulle in an array of whites, ivories, creams, and even a chic new silver. The 2015 collection features a range of designs suitable for the most formal affairs and chic, intimate ceremonies.
More than half of the collection showcases the show-stopping, sweeping ball gowns and skirting with pick ups, which Bocci loves to design, including her Assia, Juman, Lourdes, Maia, Nova, Sabrina and Zoy dresses. Her London is a ruffled Aline gown and Bocci’s gift for creating breath-taking feminine silhouettes is evident in four completely unique mermaid-style dresses, including Ambrosine, Bijenne, Emeline and Garcelle, which complete the 2015 collection.
Famed photographer and television host Nigel Barker recently captured Bocci’s avant-garde style during a photo shoot for Art Van Furniture, which featured a model wearing an exquisite gown she made of upholstery fabric. Barker best known for his participation as a judge on the reality show America’s Next Top Model, is now the host of reality show The Face.
Made in Michigan, Katerina Bocci’s gowns are designed, sewn and produced at her 3,200-square-foot design studio located in Shelby Township. The haute couture designer personally oversees the production of each and every gown to ensure the utmost quality. Katerina Bocci bridal gowns start at $2,500.
