Stevenson High School cheer team looks to continue championship success at state tournament
Competitive cheer team hopes to continue their winning ways heading into state championship

So far, it has been a perfect season for the Stevenson High School competitive cheer team.
The team has already captured the MAC Red championship, district championship and is a regional finalist for the 2015 season.
The team looks to finish its successful season at a state championship this weekend.

“I am so proud of these girls,” coach Brianna Verdoodt said. “We have an extremely young team with only four seniors and they have stepped up far more than I ever thought possible.”
The team has created the theme #blueisback to celebrate what has been a comeback season.

“Not only are they a team that wins, they are a team of beautiful personalities who have demonstrated support and love for each other over and over again,” Verdoot said. “I felt blessed to have advanced out of regionals because it meant I had one more week with these girls! State Finals...here we come!”
