Stevenson High School senior honored as one of Michigan's best student musicians

Brittany Bissa, a flutist with the Stevenson High School band, was selected to join other top high school musicians on the Michigan Music Conference All-State Honors Band.

“Brittany is an outstanding musician at Stevenson High School,” said the school’s band teacher Michael Sekich. “She always works hard, shows up prepared and is a true team player.”

He added, “She has a huge heart and will help anybody at any level aspiring to develop a true love of music. She will definitely pass on the torch of what she has learned here at Stevenson to others throughout her career. I’m very proud of her.”

The band performed January 24 at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids as part of the Michigan Music Conference.
