Stuff a UCS bus to help area families

UCS residents will have an opportunity this week to “stuff a bus” to support Operation Backpack.

A UCS bus will be open to accept donated backpacks and school supplies August 20 through 23 at Genisys Credit Union, 49675 Van Dyke in Shelby Township.

Operation Backpack, coordinated by the Volunteers of America - Michigan, provides free supplies and backpacks to families in need in the community.

Donations will be acepted:

• Thursday, August 20 – 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Friday, August 21 – 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Saturday, August 22 – 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Sunday, August 23 – 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
