Program focuses on giving English Language students who are new to the country an opportunity to develop language acquisition.

A four-week summer program is helping students get a successful start in their new environment.
Offered through a federal grant, the program focuses on giving English Language students who are new to the country an opportunity to develop language acquisition.
Instruction focuses on all aspects of language development, including reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students also have access to Imagine Learning, a software designed specifically to increase the academic success of English Learners.
More than 250 K-12 UCS students are attending this program.
Several Arabic and Chaldean speaking staff, as well as volunteer support from Lutheran Social Services, have been involved in this program to aide in communication with parents and students.
