Switzer students on target to learn more about symphonic music

Switzer Elementary students had a unique opportunity to learn more about symphonic music

Switzer Elementary students had a unique opportunity to learn more about symphonic music, thanks to a grant from the Target Corporation.

The grant allowed Switzer fourth-grade students to attend a Macomb Symphony Orchestra Annual Youth Concert on Wednesday at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts.

As part of the presentation, the orchestra took the time to share information about different instruments of the orchestra and individual performances by principal players in each section.

"The concert was an enjoyable and informative opportunity for our students to witness dedicated, talented musicians and hear a quality performance of outstanding music," said Switzer music teacher Nancy Cannava.
