Two UCS alumni honored among MSU 's top 17 graduates

UCS grads earn Board of Trustees Award through MSU

Two Utica Community Schools alumni have placed among the top 17 performing graduates at Michigan State University.

Brielle Komosinski, a 2016 graduate of the Utica Academy of International Students, and Gina Duff, a 2016 graduate of Utica High School, are among the top students nationwide received the Michigan State University Board of Trustees Award.

The Board honored the 17 graduating students for achieving the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester. All students earned a 4.0 GPA.

Duff is a supply chain management major in the Eli Broad College of Business. She is a member of the Broad Student Senate and has experience as a supply chain intern at General Motors Corp. and a project management intern at Methode Electronics.

Komosinski is a human biology major in Lyman Briggs College. She graduated this weekend (a semester early) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a minor in Mathematics. She has been accepted into Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and starts medical school this summer.
