Utica Community Schools bands are a peach!
Eisenhower, Henry Ford II and Stevenson bands all kicked off Back to School week by participating in the Floral Parade at the popular Romeo Peach Festival.
Utica High School is participating in the Richmond Festival this weekend.
The Stevenson band took first place at the performance division of the parade, as judged by local business and community leaders.
The Romeo Peach Festival is the state’s second oldest Labor Day tradition.
You can see more of UCS bands at this year’s annual BandARama, set for October 4 at 7 p.m. at Runkel Field.
All four UCS bands perform their halftime show at the family event. Tickets are $5 for adults and high school students with junior high school and younger students having free admission.
Tickets are available at the door and go towards music scholarships for band students.
In addition to BandArama, Stevenson High School will be featured on this Friday’s Band of the Week program on Channel 7 and Channel 20.
Students will perform:
-Channel 7 (WXYZ) - 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
