Count executive appoints Mrs. Gene Klida to arts authority

Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel has appointed Utica Community Schools Board of Education President Gene Klida to a countywide arts leadership position.
Hackel appointed Klida to a three-year term on the Macomb Art Institute Authority. Her appointment, which was confirmed by the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, represents the Macomb Intermediate School District, one of three designated areas of membership composition.
“Mrs. Klida will be an effective voice for the arts on behalf of all Macomb County residents,” Hackel said. “She brings to this position her passion for the arts, and her leadership with one of this region’s premier school districts.”
