UCS grad displays talent on national TV

UCS grad now one of seven contestants to appear live on America's Got Talent

At Eisenhower High School, Alicia Michilli was known as a powerful singer with a bright future.

Now the whole nation knows the 2009 graduate has “got talent.”

Michilli recently appeared on America’s Got Talent, where has made it through her audition and the final cut to be one of seven acts to appear live at Radio City Music Hall.

“Alicia has a huge amount of talent wrapped up in a person that is kind and humble!” said Eisenhower High School Music Teacher Julia Holt. “She has been working hard in Nashville to pursue her dreams and is a great role model for my current students. I am very proud of her!”

In high school, Michilli performed as Sandy in the school’s production of Grease and also sang in the school’s Show Choir.

For her original America’s Got Talent audition, Michilli performed the Etta James’ hit “I’d Rather Be Blind.”

To earn entry as one of the seven acts to appear at Radio City Music Hall, she performed “Who’s Lovin’ You” by The Jackson Five.

America’s Got Talent is a national reality television series that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performers that compete for a chance at earning $1 million through the competition.
