Henry Ford II High School alumna is Wayne State University commencement speaker

A 2011 graduate of Utica Community Schools has moved from one Ford field to another Ford Field.

Nazime Sohi, a former varsity track star at Henry Ford II High School, spoke to more than 3,800 Wayne State University graduates May 7 at the school’s commencement ceremony at Ford Field in Detroit.

Sohi graduated that day from WSU with a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition on her way to medical school in Virginia to study to be a dermatologist.

At Henry Ford II, Sohi was an academic scholar and member of Science Olympiad, Key Club and National Honor Society.
