UCS kindergarten students get an early lesson on understanding

Plumbrook Elementary School recently held a “Disability Awareness” presentation for their kindergarten students.

Physical therapists Terri Woznicki and Rebecca Boyd and occupational therapists Monica Cooper and Lindsay Pukey divided the students into different stations to show them how it feels to be in a wheelchair, use a walker or need special scissors.

The stations taught kindergartners that all students have strengths and weaknesses.
