UCS teams go for the gold

UCS teams go for the gold at Michigan Special Olympics Winter Games

This year, Winter Games for Michigan Special Olympics was held the week of February 2nd – 5th, 2016, in Traverse City. Utica Community Schools had 21 athletes competing that consisted of 8 Alpine skiers and 13 Cross Country skiers.

Athletes in downhill competed in the Slalom and Giant Slalom on three different courses ranging in difficulty from beginner to intermediate. Cross country athletes competed in the 50 meter, 100 meter, 250 meter and 500 meter races.

UCS students earned Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
