UHS percussionists keep the beat
Utica High School musicians attend MSU's Day of Percussion in East Lansing

The Utica High School percussion group attended the 13th annual Michigan State University Day of Percussion in East Lansing on Sunday, October 26.
Utica HS was among 12 high schools from across Michigan to participate.
Each school’s 25-minute performance was critiqued in terms of technique and musical concepts by a panel of distinguished music professionals, including nationally renowned percussionists Bret Kuhn and Roger Carter. The talented group of young musicians from Utica High School earned exemplary honors and praise from the judges.

In addition, the UHS students took part in clinics on performance/rehearsal techniques. Plus they were treated to performances by the award-winning MSU drum line and percussion ensemble.
