Utica Community Schools earns national recognition for financial reporting

UCS honored for Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fifth straight year

For the fifth straight year, Utica Community Schools has earned national recognition for its commitment to meet the highest standards in reporting financial information to its community.

The district has earned a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting award for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).

“This recognition reflects the district’s continued commitment to fiscal accountability,” superintendent Dr. Christine Johns said. “We are focused on meeting the highest standards in providing our taxpayers with comprehensive information on the district’s investment in its classrooms.”

The CAFR certificate was awarded for the 2015-2016 fiscal audit.
