Utica Community Schools seniors honored as CTE students of the year
Antoinette Dedvukaj plans career in law enforcement; Michael Kulpa will pursue mechanical engineering

Two Utica Community Schools seniors were selected as Macomb County Career &Technical Education (CTE) students of the year.
Antoinette Dedvukaj of Henry Ford II High School and Michael Kulpa of Stevenson High School were honored at the 25th annual CTE awards breakfast February 6.
Dedvukaj was also awarded one of two $500 scholarships from the Macomb CTE Administrators’ Association.

A student in the district’s law enforcement program, Dedvukaj plans to attend Macomb Community College to study criminal justice. She is a member of the SkillsUSA Crime Science Investigation team.
Kulpa has been on track to become a mechanical engineer since entering high school. He has taken seven CTE courses, has interned at Hi-Tech Mold and Engineering and has earned top regional and state honors through Skills USA.

He plans to attend Kettering University or Lawrence Technological University in the fall to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
Also honored at the breakfast was Joe Mandeville of Elite Mold and Engineering in Shelby Township as business and industry partner of the year.
