Viewfinder: Cooking Extravaganza At MCC

Metro Parent and Taste of Home provided the community with an all out food extravaganza at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. Taste of Home Cooking School - Made Easy included food tastings, prizes and demonstrations. 

A large number of vendors showed up to the event, most offering prizes and all displaying some of their tastiest confections. The Meijer table included a raffle to win a cooking demonstration prize package. Tastefully Simple displayed many of their sweet and savory treats. 

All who attended the event were able to fill out a card to receive a free subscription to Taste of Home Magazine. 

As part of the cooking school, chef Dana Elliot prepared nine simple, healthy recipes including her Skinny Crab Quiche. Emcee Mitzi Miles from Magic 105.1 introduced Elliot and announced prize winners in between recipe demonstrations.
