“Lauren is a kid that has really exploded over the last year,” said Donahue. “I don’t know if she was really into sports or basketball when she was in 8th or 9th grade, but she and Kayla (Geffert) got together and played a lot over the summer. In the last year or so, she decided she wanted to be a basketball player and she’s done a really nice job of improving and growing into her body. She is having a nice season.”
Wirth is able to change the game for the Eagles in the center position, because of her height, athleticism and spirit.

“Lauren is so enthusiastic,” said Donahue. “She screams and yells and jumps up and down. She has a great passion for life, a great passion for the game. She is also a very nice kid. It doesn’t do you any good to be a great player if you’re not a nice person. That’s the most important thing and Lauren definitely is just that.
