EASTPOINTE, MI — A man was killed in a Wednesday morning hit-and-run crash in Macomb County, according to police.
The crash happened Wednesday morning in the northbound lanes of Gratiot Avenue near Chestnut Avenue in Eastpointe, according to police.
Officers found the 30-year-old Roseville man lying dead between the middle and right lanes of the highway, according to police.

Investigators believe the man was walking across Gratiot Avenue when he was hit by a silver four-door sedan, according to police.
The driver stopped for a moment after the crash, but then sped away, according to police.

The car also has damage to its front and the top of the hood from where it struck the man, according to police.
