2 Dead In St. Clair Shores Overnight Crash: Michigan State Police

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Two people were killed Saturday morning in an overnight crash on Interstate 94 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan State Police said.

State troopers said the driver of a Ford F-150 veered off the freeway near Stephens Road, driving up the embankment and striking the overpass head-on at 2:55 a.m.

Both the driver and passenger were trapped inside the truck as it caught fire after hitting the overpass, police said.

Officials found both of them dead inside the truck, police said.

Officials do not know why the truck drove off the road and are still investigation the crash.
