Achatz Burgers to Be Featured on Food Show

One of St. Clair Shores' newer restaurants will be featured on the "Dining in the D" television show.

It is going to be burgers, french fries and milkshake-television as St. Clair Shores' is featured on Dining in the D television on WTVS/Detroit Public Television/Channel 56  at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

One of the segments during tonight's show will feature the restaurant founded by Russell Achatz, which features burgers on freshly baked rolls and served with hand-cut french fries.

“There are so many interesting stories about what goes on in these places, especially the food, that foodies can’t get anywhere else," said host Tom Keshishian, of Walled Lake, in a release. "Plus, the owners and chefs we’ve met have made conscious efforts to stay in the Detroit area and have found ways to stay viable and even open during the last few economically challenging years."

Dining in the D has a 10-episode contract with WTVS.

"Dining in the D shows local entrepreneurs that are successful in the industry, gives viewers suggestions of nice places to go, and provides a positive local look at our community,” Dan Gaitens, WTVS program manager, said in a release.
