'Bigger, Better' Shorestoberfest is Saturday
Proceeds from second annual Cool City Committee event go back to the community.

(Originally published Oct. 12, 2016) ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Cool City Committee members are promising that the second annual Shorestoberfest will be even better than the first, with food trucks, bands, and competitions and, of course, beer.
“The event is bigger, so bigger tent, more music, we have two food trucks and a caterer, and the food is a la carte so you buy what you want,” organizer Stephanie O’Brien, of the Cool City Committee, told the St. Clair Sentinel.
This year, the Cool City Committee is working with the Jefferson Masonic Lodge 553 on the event.

“We’re trying to be more active in our community,” Goran Misic, a member of the Cool City Committee and junior warden of the Jefferson Masonic Lodge, told the Sentinel. “Our job is to make good men better. We want to give back to the community, so we’re here to try to help.”
Tip jars will be placed around the festival grounds so people can donate to a local scholarship fund.
