Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes On I-94 In Macomb County: Police

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A woman was injured Friday morning after she fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed her car on Interstate 94 in St. Clair Shores, according to Michigan State Police.

A passenger in the car told troopers the 26-year-old Detroit woman fell asleep behind the wheel on westbound Interstate 94 near Nine Mile Road, according to police.

The vehicle veered off the road, went up the embankment, overturned and rolled back down onto the freeway's pavement, according to police.
