The St. Clair Shores Historical Commission's ninth annual lecture series in memory of Joseph Laurence Maison, begins in March, with a visit from local author and lavender expert Jennifer Vasich. She will share recipes and growing tips at the Local History Center; and Vasich will also have samples of lavender lemon shortbread for the group to enjoy.
Her book, The Lavender Gourmet — which is chock-full of tasty recipes for scones, stews, beverages and more — will also be available for purchase.
