Kennedy Middle School will be hosting a Rachel’s Challenge community assembly 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the school gym.
The anti-bullying assembly is open to everyone, and is based on the writings and life of 17-year-old Rachel Scott who was the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999.
Rachel left a legacy of reaching out to those who were different, who were picked on by others, or who were new at her school.

Students will have two assemblies throughout the school day and will also be putting together a “Friends of Rachel’s” club to help foster a more permanent cultural change in the middle school.
