The Family Center to host free drug and alcohol prevention program April 14

The Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods hosts a free Drug and Alcohol Prevention seminar on Thursday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, located at 16 Lakeshore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms. Guests are asked to pick two of the following four 45-minute sessions: How to Raise Drug-Free Free Kids, Surveillance Report: Emerging Trends of Abused Substances in Our Community, How to Start “The Conversation” with My Youth or Loved One, and Prevention Techniques: How to Build a Family Toolbox. Each talk is offered at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. The event’s presenters are Lisa Kaplan, Scott Masi, Paddy Laske, Sonya Thompson, and Shannon Rozell.
