Fight at St. Clair Shores Banquet Hall Ends with Gunshot

The victim was treated and released from a nearby hospital.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Police are investigating an argument between two groups of teenagers at the Lakeland Banquet Hall in St. Clair Shores that resulted in the shooting of one person in the leg, The Macomb Daily reported.

The shooting occurred Friday night following an event at the facility, located at Nine Mile Road east of Harper Avenue.

The victim was treated at the scene by St. Clair Shores EMS, transported St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and released after treatment.

The victim's name wasn't released.

The suspect is described as between 18 and 20 years old, between 5 feet, nine inches and 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing about 17o pounds. No other description was provided. The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, fled in a black four-door vehicle.
