Greenwood Teachers Modify "Call Me, Maybe" to "MEAP It, Maybe" for Rally
Teachers at Greenwood Elementary School modified the hit song, "Call Me, Maybe," by Carly Rae Jepsen, for the MEAP test and performed their version of the popular song during a school-wide rally.
After weeks of intense studying and reviewing test taking strategies teachers at Greenwood Elementary School took a lighthearted approach Friday to rally and encourage students for the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP).
The teaching staff at Greenwood donned garb from the 1980s and performed a modified version of the Carly Rae Jepsen song, "Call Me, Maybe." The teachers changed the title to "MEAP It, Maybe," and changed the lyrics to include inspirational messages.
Testing for for students in grades 3-9 begins Tuesday.

"It is a fun way to build their confidence," said Diane Koenig, Greenwood principal. "It demonstrates we are in this together and we want them to do their best."
