In Photos: Huskies Edge Lake Shore On Second Half Goal

Late goal helps push Lakeview boys soccer team past rival Shorians, 2-1.

The blustery wind and steady rain did little to dampen the spirit of one of the area's top boys soccer rivalries, vs. , Wednesday night at Lake Shore High.

These fans, many of whom had umbrellas and wore plastic ponchos, were treated to a game that lived up to the hype and resulted in a a 2-1 victory for Lakeview.

A late goal from Huskies junior Noah Bushaw broke a 1-1 tie and propelled Lakeview to the victory—the team's fifth on the season against one loss.

Lake Shore got on the board with just under 19 minutes remaining in the opening half when Marcus Barnett headed a ball into the top corner to knot the score at 1-1—a score that would hold until Bushaw's goal.

Lakeview drew first blood Wednesday night, scoring at the 28:56 mark of the first half.

Despite the rain, wind, and chilly temperatures, the game was a heated contest, with several yellow cards issued to both teams and a physical tone to the game.

The loss dropped the Shorians to 4-1 on the season.
