They got out of the gate strong, and they finished with just as much zeal, as the Lady Shorians ousted Lakeview Huskies 57-39 to capture the St. Clair Shores Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament title Wednesday evening at

standout, Jordan Morgan led the charge in the title game with 19 points, while Lakeview's Megan McCain poured in 13 points for the Lady Huskies.

The Lady Shorians made the most of a lopsided first quarter, outscoring Lakeview 22-6, and never relinquished the lead despite a late-game effort from the Lady Huskies in the closing minutes of the contest.

"I thought we did pretty well with staying composed tonight," Lake Shore coach Jimmy Roehm said. "They're a good team and they are a good pressure team. I thought we did a good job handling that pressure."
