Lying in bed listening to a podcast the other day...two 8th grade students got up at an assembly and shared what it felt like to be bullied. I started crying as the kids shared the extreme pain brought on by intolerance and I tried to think about where this all begins. The answers can be complex but this I know to be true because I've experienced it. Parents being very critical of not only other parents in front of their kids but worse yet, putting other children down in front of their kids. Little ears take in a lot and don't think they don't take those feelings into the classroom with them, on the playground, into the dance studio or out on the field. Change begins with us. Peace. It's not a hippie thing, it's a human thing. Make it GRAND!
