The attorneys argued about the no contact stipulation between Thedford and his estranged wife. His attorney argued that it is only applicable if he posts bail, while assistant prosecuting attorney Steve Fox stated that it meant at any time.
He added that Thedford's wife visited him once in jail and once on the phone, and spoke about the case. During the taped conversation, he told his wife he didn't remember what happened. She responded that he bit her eyelid, Fox said during the hearing.

"The bond condition is whether you are in jail or not," he added.
As the attorneys argued the motion, Thedford's wife stood up and tried to join the discussion. Druzinski ordered her removed from the court room.
Thedford is alleged to have assaulted his estranged wife in her St. Clair Shores home during the predawn hours of Mother's Day.
The couple is alleged to have gotten into an argument over Thedford's alleged assault of his wife's daughter. Police said the argument turned violent as Thedford began assaulting his wife, punching her in the face, hitting her head against the hardwood floor and biting off her eyelid before fleeing her house in St. Clair Shores.
When officers arrived, they were greeted by a bloody 34-year-old woman who said Thedford fled the house.
"This is not my character," Thedford said during the proceedings. "Unfortunately people exaggerate statements."
Thedford will continue to be held in the Macomb County Jail on $100,000 bond, until his July 20 pretrial hearing.
